This fall, filling up at Johnny’s helped support something bigger.

From September 1 through October 31, guests at all 66 Johnny’s Markets Shell locations across Michigan and Indiana chose to fill up at our purple Giving Pumps, and in doing so, helped create real change right here in our communities. Because of you, this year’s Shell Giving Pump campaign generated $ 68,080 for local schools and children’s organizations.

The Giving Pump makes giving easy. When customers fill-up at a purple pump, a portion of the proceeds from every gallon goes directly to local causes. No extra steps. No additional cost. Just your everyday fuel stop turning into support for kids, families, and schools close to home.
What makes this campaign special isn’t just the total, it’s the impact the organizations have on our communities.

This year’s donations supported children’s organizations that work every day to meet critical needs and create brighter futures, including:

South Michigan Food Bank – Funding their Backpack Program, which sends students home with nutritious food to bridge the gap over weekends and school breaks.

Kids Food Basket – Giving Pump donations support their mission to provide healthy meals to children across four West Michigan counties, helping ensure kids have the fuel they need to learn and grow.

Make-A-Wish Michigan – Contributions help grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses, creating moments of hope, joy, and strength for families.

Local Schools – A portion of this year’s total was directed straight back into our communities to support educational programs at schools including: Bronson Community Schools, Centreville Public Schools, Charlotte Community Schools, Coldwater Community Schools, Fremont Community Schools, Grand Ledge Public Schools, Hastings Area Schools, Lakewood Public Schools, Litchfield Community Schools, Marcellus Community School, Mendon Community Schools, Metropolitan School District, Niles Community Schools, Portland Public Schools, Thornapple Kellogg Schools, Vandercook Lake Public Schools, and Vicksburg Community Schools
